There is only one DOOR Kiteboard
the SPLEENE DOOR!
The High Tech DOOR stands for lightwind like no other kiteboard in the world. When others are only watching, you are riding. And you will be surprised what else is possible with the DOOR.
The story is legendary.
Out of a bet, the DOOR concept was born at SPLEENE in early 2000 and became the synonym for lightwind kiteboards.
The SPLEENE DOOR is the ultimate kiteboard for light wind days. Outline and bottom curve work perfectly together for maximum comfort and glide performance. The low weight is immediately noticeable when accelerating and jumping. And thanks to the Advanced Jet Bottom, you’ll still have full control – even when the wind is blowing.

Highlights of the DOOR in detail
Ultra Lightwind Kiteboard
The DOOR and MONSTER DOOR are THE lightwind kiteboards par excellence. Thanks to the low weight and the perfect balance between bending curve, flex, outline and bottom shape, you already start gliding with the DOOR or MONSTER DOOR at a breath of wind. Thanks to its large planing surface, you can easily glide through wind holes. With the concave outline, you’ll pull height like no other. The DOOR and MONSTER DOOR are of course fully controllable even when the wind picks up. Choppy water? No problem with the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR!
You are a kite beginner? The DOOR (from 85 kg the MONSTER DOOR) is also a perfect kiteboard for you. Thanks to its large gliding surface it forgives mistakes in kite control and you glide – easy and uncomplicated. Finally you arrive back where you started. No “Walk of Shame.” As your kite skills progress, the DOOR is the perfect kiteboard for lightwind days. It doesn’t get any better than this!
Another tip: You belong to the species of “homo giganteus”? Then the SPLEENE DOOR or MONSTER DOOR is your answer. Why torture yourself with kiteboards that are much too small for your body weight? Grab a DOOR or MONSTER DOOR and have fun on the water.
Maximum upwind riding
The DOOR and the MONSTER DOOR are absolute wonders in upwind riding. The concave outline, the large surface and the flat curve make this possible. Upwind riding is essential on lightwind days. Especially if you want to get airbone.
The DOOR was the breakthrough for SPLEENE in the early 2000, which also marks the take off of our terrific sport. We never rested and kept working on the perfect DOOR shape. In the meantime, we can look back on 20 years of concentrated experience in the development of kiteboards. That makes the difference. You’ll feel it on the water right away.
You think the DOOR is a nice light wind kiteboard, but just riding back and forth is boring? Far from it! With the DOOR or MONSTER DOOR you can jump effortlessly.
Thanks to its wooden core construction, both kiteboards have a perfect pop. With the stretched outline you can push the edge powerful into the water. This gives the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR a proper load to shoot you powerfully into the airspace of your home spot. With the Advanced Jet Bottom, both kiteboards release smoothly from the water and set you down again gently.
Direct feeling & maximum control
The strengths of the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR can of course play out maximum in the lower wind range. It brings you so early into the glide, like no other kiteboard, you simply ride through wind holes and it feels super agile.
With the sophisticated construction you have full control over the kiteboard at all times. The heart of the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR is the 3D milled wood core, embedded in the Spider Frame 3D deck. Only wood – no other material in this world – gives you a better feedback while kiting.
With an extremely light weight that puts some carbon boards to shame, both the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR feel absolutely playful and ultra direct. Cruising, switching, carving and even loading to the jump – with the DOOR and MONSTER DOOR it’s all playful.
Comfort is one of the most important features of our High Tech Line. Thanks to the flex of the Spider Frame 3D deck as well as the Advanced Jet Bottom, impacts are effectively absorbed and allow you to ride smoothly even in choppy water.
The 3D milled wood core provides a very smooth ride and natural damping. Even during long sessions your knees and joints are protected. Choppy water has never been an issue with SPLEENE kiteboards. We simply know how to design the outline of a kiteboard to completely eliminate the annoying splash water
What’s the technology behind the SPLEENE High Tech DOOR?
Since birth of Spleene Kiteboarding in 2002, a lot happened. Our total know how has evolved into the 9th generation of our High Tech Line.
Advanced Jet Bottom
The bottom shape is characterized by a channel with a double concave. As a result, the kiteboard slides early. Instead of a simple radius, a
parabolic shape is used in the Spleene Advanced Jet Bottom. Compared to a conventional double concave, the Advanced Jet Bottom
allows significantly more edge grip and pushes the water along the edges. In choppy conditions, the effect is very clear. In addition, the
water surface is broken up when the kiteboard hits it, thus allowing a smooth landing after jumps.
Shark Skin Surface
The bottom of the kiteboard is matt finished by using a special technique. This gives the kiteboard a shark skin effect with reduced friction.
The result is higher speed and faster acceleration.
All SPLEENE Kiteboarding High Tech Line Kiteboards are produced with a CNC milled wood core glued in shape. Thanks to the outstanding
damping characteristics of wood, the SPLEENE Kiteboards have a very high ride comfort and also protect the joints for many hours. of
The slight elevation on the side of the kiteboard increases comfort enormously. This makes kitesurfing a lot easier without cutting or
splashing water — especially in harsh conditions.
Spider Frame 3D Deck
The upper deck of the Spleene Kiteboard is equipped with the new Spider Frame 3D structure. In the area of the grab handle, the kiteboard
becomes more flexible and gets noticeably more comfortable. The kiteboard is faster to drive, even in rough choppy water.
The glossy finish of the kiteboard is provided with an UV-protection. Even many hours in the blazing sun will not harm your kiteboard and
the colors will keep shining like the first day. Tag.
Straps, Pads and Fins
The SPLEENE straps, pads and fins are perfectly matched to SPLEENE Kiteboards. The pads are anatomically adapted to the foot and
provide extra good support with a toe edge. With the straps we offer the Standard Straps with velcro and the Pro Straps with ratchets. All
straps allow different mounting positions and can be individually adjusted. The SPLEENE Kiteboarding fins are made of extra hard G10
material for best performance.
